Team Members

The following are the team members that comprise the Viridian Tree Project, featuring a short biography and member perspectives on the project and saving our environment.

William Jae Hu Lee: Hello, and welcome to the Viridian Tree Project site! My name is William Jae Hu Lee and I am the founder of VTP. The Viridian Tree Project is dedicated to sustaining the Earth and its living organisms through its foundation: plants! I developed VTP because I always had an interest in plants. Ever since I was young, I always went to gardening centers to look at plants and to choose what plants I would want to nurture and watch grow in the near future. Creating VTP allowed me to show interest and encourage other people who have an interest in botany to join. We have our personal website that shows how we contribute to the sustainability of Earth through such initiatives as donating to the Turkey/Greece wildfire and the Plastic Free Project. We gathered well over 18 members and raised funds from many more. I intend to continue VTP and further push awareness to whoever we can to make our only home a better place to live, not just for us but for those that come after.

Furthermore, practicing what we can easily put into action in our daily lives should come next. 1.Since, I was young, I have grown up growing saplings and plants on my grandfather’s farm. I think I know the sadness of losing trees and the need for cultivating the forest. Trees give us infinite energy and healthy resources. Sharing plants and protecting a healthier and safer environment is essential. Viridian Tree Project is the right place to plant little trees and share creative ideas for a better future.

2.I am in the battle against plastic. After researching plastic pollutions for my science class, I’ve changed. I switched to reusable straws and reusable bags. I made a little nursery for sharing our saplings with others. I hope I can continue to succeed.
